  • Horrible Warranty Company

Purchased a home warranty for a rental home I own. Placed claim early on in policy and did not cover most of the items reported which was ok. Went to file a claim again a month or so ago and they do not have a phone number that you can call and talk to anyone. You have to email everything but no one will return your email or handle the claim so the money I paid this company was a complete waste because I had to pay for the repairs out of my own pocket. I submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they wouldn't even respond to them. I am considering pursuing legal... More...

  • No good warranty

I purchased a 2 yr. warranty last Aug. 2010 and didn't need service till 3 mo. later. The 1-877 # is not in service. I looked on the warranty and there was a reg. number, but only get a recording saying to refer to their website. I did that and got no reply until almost 2 wks later. What kind of service is that?? I tried to cancel thru my cc co. but they say that because I didn't cancel in the 1st 30 days it is a valid charge. So now what? I'm out $670. if I can never get in touch w/them. More...

  • Empire Service Claim

I have been trying to contact Empire Home Warranty by the internet and also have called all of their telephone numbers to no avail. I have had a policy with them since July 8, 2010 and have had no claim until now. How do I get in contact with them? It is very frustrating. I am beginning to think they really don't exist. Please advise me how to make a claim. Thank you. Elizabeth G. Kerr/policy #EHW-110849 More...

  • Water Heater

The only word out of this company's mouth is NO! They try and wear you down by telling you something was not properly maintained. In our case, it was a twelve year old water heater. It operated for twelve years so how could it not be properly maintained. This exceeded the normal life but they still do not want to pay! If I were you I would look eleswhere. This is not a policy/company I would recommend to my worst enemny. More...

  • No A/C for 3 weeks

Started this process on August 2nd. No once has come to fix the problem. I write a complaint letter on Augst 7th. No one calls, replies, etc. Now, that’s customer service at it’s finest. I call Empire again, I am disconnected from your claims supervisor for the 2nd time while discussing my issue, she did not have the common courtesy to even call me back, and she had my phone number because she had confirmed it with me. I called again on Tuesday, Aug 10th to start this process that began on August 2nd all over again since no one at Empire ever called me back.... More...

These people are scam artists. Do not expect to get service, let alone a call back. I called on Monday morning , August 2nd to request service on our A/C. At 2:50 PM Atlantic A/C called to inform me that they could not get out until Thursday. I told her that was way too long to go without A/C in Dallas Texas with 105 degree weather. I called Empire back to inform them that I needed someone else to come out sooner. They resubmitted the claim to Walker Air Conditioning. Walker A/C called and said that they could come out on Wednesday, but that they would call us in the morning... More...

This company is a ripeoff scammer Empire Home Warranty formerly operated under the name as United Home warranty and nationwide home come. They will take your money and will not provide any service. After they get so many complaint & lawsuits from angry homeowners they will bankrupt the company and start up another one with a diferent name.I know this for a fact from contracting from them. I must say that i did not tack long to figure them out. They would never approve any claims & decline if the homeoner could not produce 10 years of maintenance records. who can do this if the only... 12/8/10 - my heater has been out for 2 weeks. They give you the run around, do NOT have "a representative" available 24/7 as stated, and are now refusing to replace a part that was DESIGNED to wear out because I cannot provide maintenance records (even though the part has NOTHING to do with properly maintaining the unit). I really should have looked up reviews on this company before signing with them. I'm hoping I can get some of my money back.
